Tiffany Stewart, PhD
Co-Director
Tiffany Stewart, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in health behavior in high performance populations, including military and athletes. She has specialized expertise in disordered eating and weight optimization. Dr. Stewart is a member of the Obesity Society, the Academy of Eating Disorders, the Eating Disorder Research Society, and the American College of Sports Medicine. Healthy eating, exercise, sleep, and mental health habits of Soldiers, dependents, and veterans have become a key priority for the U.S. Army. Dr. Stewart has a 20-year ongoing collaboration with the Department of Defense on trials with Active Duty, Reserves, National Guard, and Veterans. This work includes studies examining the efficacy of technology-based programs for U.S. Army Soldiers and military families that incorporates behavioral training for sleep, nutrition, fitness, mental health, and resilience. She is co-director of the Center for Military Performance and Resilience.
Jennifer Rood, PhD
Co-Director
Jennifer Rood, Ph.D., DABCC, FAACC, is a clinical pathologist with expertise in both clinical chemistry and stable isotopes. She is a member of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry and The Obesity Society. She is certified by the American Board of Clinical Chemistry and is a fellow in the American Association for Clinical Chemistry Academy. She has been funded by the Department of Defense since 1993 to conduct research on nutrition, metabolism, and human physiology aimed at promoting warfighter readiness and performance. She is co-director of the Center for Military Performance and Resilience.
