Clinical Rotations
Fellows will gain practical experience under the guidance of five ABOM-certified physicians and scientists in managing a diverse population of patients.
Metamor Institute is a multidisciplinary evidence-based obesity treatment center, exceeding 10,000 out-patient visits and 500 in- patient visits per year. The fellowship faculty includes specialists in the following:
- Obesity Medicine
- Pediatric Obesity Medicine
- Sleep Medicine
- Cardiology
- Metabolic Surgery
- Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy
- Nutrition
- Exercise Physiology
The fellowship clinical experience includes adult and pediatric outpatient clinics, as well as inpatient metabolic surgery care. All facilities are located in the Baton Rouge and include:
- Metamor Institute on the campus of Pennigton Biomedical Research Center
- Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center
- Our Lady of the Lake Children's Medical Center
