Research Interests

Dr. Heden is director of the Molecular Metabolism Lab. His lab utilizes a translational approach from genetically modified cells and mice to human samples to understand the underlying basis of various metabolic diseases such as cancer, obesity, and type 2 diabetes. Moreover, his lab uses this information to identify and test novel molecular targets to treat these diseases.
