Research Interests

Dr. Rebello is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Nutrition and Chronic Disease Program. Her vision is to develop sustainable lifestyle solutions to prevent and treat obesity, insulin resistance, and aging-related diseases. Dr. Rebello’s mission is to strategically secure adherence to diet regimens and use food components to modulate the physiology underlying metabolic disease. Her work as a clinical and research dietitian has laid the foundation for innovation in dietary interventions, and her training in nutrition at the molecular and clinical levels drives her transdisciplinary research program. Dr. Rebello’s research interests are to discover the mechanisms by which the management of obesity and insulin sensitivity can prevent and treat age-related functional decline.
