The primary responsibility of the Office of Innovation & Commercialization is to help advance the development of Pennington Biomedical Research Center innovations, support the research enterprise, and work with entrepreneurs and external partners on translational research and to commercialize innovations that enhance the economy and benefit the public.
The Office is responsible for all aspects of commercialization, including intellectual property protection, licensing, and other traditional technology transfer-related activities. It also assists with material transfer agreements (MTAs), confidentiality agreements (CDAs and NDAs), Interinstitutional Agreements, and other innovation-related agreements.
