Bill J. Gurley, Ph.D., is the principle scientist for the National Center for Natural Production Research on the School of Pharmacy at University of Mississippi. Previously he served as the Professor and Vice Chair in the Pharmacokinetics Laboratory at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Gurley holds a Ph.D. in pharmaceutics from the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center.

Dr. Gurley is an internationally recognized expert in the area of botanical dietary supplements, and the effects on human drug metabolism and disposition. He has published more than 200 peer reviewed publications, abstracts and book chapters in the areas of Pharmacokinetics, herbal-drug interaction and dietary drug interactions. He has delivered more than 100 invited lectures on botanical supplement safety. His research interest include the Mechanisms of herb-drug interactions; toxicity of multiple-component herbal dietary supplements; hemp/CBD product quality and safety.
