BATON ROUGE – The Community Research for Optimal Wellness Network, or CROWN, is hosting a free open house to encourage members of the Baton Rouge community to discover more about the program and its services. The open house will include tours of the Pennington Biomedical facility, engaging activities, opportunities to meet esteemed scientists, and photos with Santa Claus.

WHO:
CROWN is the collaborative arm of the Louisiana Clinical and Translational Science Center, or LA CaTS, with the primary goal of connecting researchers and scientists with the local community, fostering a network among these groups to improve the quality of research, address health disparities and improve health outcomes.

The Pennington Biomedical Research Center is at the forefront of medical discovery as it relates to understanding the triggers of obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer and dementia.
