Study Purpose

The goal of the CGM Peptide research study is to measure insulin resistance in a wide range of people.

About the Study

The study consists of 1 visit to the Pennington Biomedical outpatient clinic and 1 24-hour stay at the Pennington Biomedical inpatient clinic.

Study Design

Number of Visits:

  • 3 study visits, including 1 screening visit and 1 overnight stay

Procedures:

  • Weight, height and blood pressure
  • Medical history and physical exam
  • Glucose test
  • Blood draw
  • Glucose monitor
  • Metabolic chamber
  • DXA Scan (Dual X-ray Absorptiometry)

Study Qualifications

To qualify for this research study, participants should:

  • Be between the ages of 18-65
  • Have a Body Mass Index (BMI) between 20-35 calculate your BMI
  • Not be diagnosed with diabetes

Study Duration

Participation in the study will last approximately 3 days.

Compensation

Compensation of up to $75 is offered for the completion of this study.
