Infant 31P Pilot Study
Study Type
PediatricsStudy Purpose
The Infant 31P Pilot research study aims to develop a technique to accurately measure muscle metabolism in infants. Understanding more about muscle in infants will help researchers learn more about the factors that impact the health of people beginning in early life and continuing throughout their lifespan.
About the Study
Qualified participants will complete 2 study visits to the Pennington Biomedical Clinic. The infant’s muscle metabolism will be measured using an MRI scan and repeated within a period of 1 to 10 days. The infant’s body fat will also be measured using a PEAPOD.
