RIME Study

Study Type

General Health & Wellbeing

Study Purpose

It is very common for most elderly people to take 5 or more medications daily, a condition that is commonly called ‘polypharmacy.’

The RIME research study aims to evaluate if participants better understand their current medications after they review and discuss those medications with a pharmacist.

About the Study

Participants will visit the Pennington Biomedical Outpatient Clinic for a screening visit to determine if you are eligible for the study. Once enrolled, participants will participate in their first study visit on the same day as the screening visit.

A Pennington Biomedical pharmacist will conduct an interview to discuss participant’s current medication and provide information after the interview. Participants will then visit their doctor and return once more to Pennington Biomedical to repeat the medication review and interview procedures.
