The Pennington Biomedical Research Center, a research facility of the Louisiana State University System, is a dynamic and world class research center whose mission is to improve health through research in nutrition and in disease prevention. The assistant coordinator position is a part-time unclassified position in the Office of Executive Director of Pennington Biomedical. The essential functions of the position includes but is not limited to general office duties such as answering phones, filing, making copies, typing meeting minutes, making booklets, arranging meetings, tracking publications, handling reprint requests, assisting with professional publications, formatting manuscripts, inserting references, preparing reports, preparing PowerPoint presentations, and other clerical duties as needed.
The ideal candidate will have experience Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, graphics, fillable form development, and knowledge of End Note. The candidate would need to be detail oriented and willing to learn and be a team player. The candidate would also need to ability to work well with a variety of people and be service oriented. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree, experience with Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, and Word. Excellent written and verbal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with web development, graphics, End Note, publication records, scientific citations.
