Postdoctoral Researcher
Job Description:
The Pennington Biomedical Research Center, a research facility of the Louisiana State University System, is seeking to fill a full-time Postdoctoral position in the Diabetes Complication Laboratory in the brand new state-of-the-art Basic Science Building. The primary research focus will be oxidative stress-related mechanisms and their role in the pathogenesis of diabetic neuropathy and other complications. The applicant will be involved in conceptualizing research design, data analysis, manuscript and grant preparation, and the education and training of laboratory staff. Additional duties may include assessment of functional indices of diabetic neuropathy in rats and mice and other animal work.
Qualifications:
Applicant must have experience in cell culture (signal transduction) and animal studies. Must be proficient with western blotting, RT-PCR, and other modern biochemical and molecular techniques. Please submit cover letter, curriculum vitae and the names of three referees.
