The Pennington Biomedical Research Center, a research facility of the Louisiana State University System, is seeking a full time Recruiting Manager. This position has the responsibility of managing all areas of participant recruiting and marketing of clinical trials. Pennington Biomedical is a global leader in conducting clinical research in nutrition, physical activity, obesity, diabetes and other related chronic diseases. This position plays a vital role in creating a comprehensive strategy that ensures the recruiting core successfully meets all goals related to participant recruitment. This includes but is not limited to: Manage the day-to-day operations of the recruiting core, including personnel management, work flow, coordination of clinical trial participants, and project management. Create a comprehensive and innovative strategy for successfully enrolling a wide range of volunteer participants for dozens of clinical trials conducted annually and concurrently. Develop budgets both for specific studies and the recruitment core, accurate forecasting and oversight of budget is critical. Collaborate with Principal Investigators and Research Study Coordinators regarding all aspects of clinical trials, including protocols, participant informed consents, effectiveness of recruiting efforts, and retention of study participants. Work in partnership with business managers to ascertain budgets for recruiting and marketing efforts. Plan and develop a community relations component of the recruiting effort including the development and execution of grassroots/targeted strategies to further the clinical recruitment of the organization Establish and meet goals for the number of new prospective volunteers identified, recruited and added to our database. Produce metrics to track the effectiveness of the recruiting effort as well as cost effectiveness of different recruiting strategies. Train staff to administer screening tools to ensure accurate collection of information for subsequent determination of eligibility. Create and interact with community and internal recruitment advisory boards.
Bachelor's degree required Five years of experience in clinical trial participant recruiting across a variety of study types. Working knowledge of clinical trial IRBs, data safety & monitoring boards and standard clinic research practice. Background in effective and proven grassroots strategies, campaigns and outreach a plus. Proven experience managing and motivating a team to successfully accomplish goals.
