Geaux Get Tested Study

The Geaux Get Tested research study will conduct saliva testing for COVID-19 at schools, community centers, churches, and medical clinics in Baton Rouge, LA in order to determine where community members prefer to be tested. This information will be used develop strategies to reduce barriers to COVID-19 testing in underserved communities.
About the Study
On specific testing days (reference schedule), participants will visit one of the community testing locations in the 70805, 70807, 70811, 70812, and 70814 Baton Rouge, LA zip codes in order to enroll in the study. Once enrolled, participants will provide a saliva sample to be tested for COVID-19 and answer a brief survey about themselves and their experiences and thoughts on COVID-19 testing. A research staff member will call participants with their result as soon as it is available from the laboratory (2-3 business days).

- A single visit to one of the Geaux Get Tested COVID-19 community testing locations in Baton Rouge, LA
- Saliva sample for COVID-19 testing

- Be at least 18 years of age
- Able to understand and speak English
- Able to provide informed consent
