DYNAMMO B Study

Study Type

Diabetes/Prevention

Study Purpose

More than 30 million people in the United States have type 2 diabetes, and 1 in 4 of them don’t know they have it. The main symptom of type 2 diabetes is high blood sugar levels resulting from the body failing to use insulin properly. This condition, referred to as insulin resistance, may develop overtime without any symptoms, making disease treatment and management difficult.

The DYNAMMO research study aims to understand what causes insulin resistance, with the goal of discovering new options to prevent and treat type 2 diabetes.

About the Study

Once enrolled, participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. Both groups will complete the same procedures, but the order of the procedures differ. Both groups require 4 overnight stays in the Pennington Biomedical Inpatient Unit.
