The Human Genomics Laboratory relocated from Laval University in Quebec, Canada, to the Pennington Center in September 1999. The activities of the laboratory focus on the genetic and molecular basis of obesity and its comorbidities, as well as on the genetic and molecular components of the response to regular exercise of cardiorespiratory endurance and cardiovascular and diabetes risk factors. Several family studies and cohorts of singletons provide the material for these
research programs.
