The Pennington Biomedical Research Center, a research facility of the Louisiana State University System, is seeking a full time Administrative Coordinator to provide administrative support for several research faculty members and their associated departments at Pennington Biomedical Research Center. This includes but is not limited to grant document preparation and submission, faculty calendar management, and processing travel, procurement, and human resource paperwork. Will perform daily office activities such as writing, answering phones, filing, making copies, mail and currier duties, arranging meetings, taking minutes at meetings, tracking publications for faculty, processing reimbursement for travel and other costs associated with department operations, and other clerical tasks as needed. Provide technical and editorial support for professional publications, manuscripts, and presentations. Expert in specific LSU policy regarding travel and procurement. Attend training seminars on and off campus related to job function. Will serve as a liaison for the faculty with the business office, human resources, sponsored projects, and other PBRC departments and Service Cores, and external affiliates and collaborators.
A BS in business or health related field. Experience with administrative duties required; preferably in institutional office administration. Excellent organization and writing skills. Communicates effectively. Detailed oriented, multitasking, proficient in Microsoft Office applications; specifically, Excel and Word, Reference Manager, Endnote, and Adobe, Outlook, and able to learn and use new computer programs quickly and effectively.
