The Pennington Biomedical Research Center, a research facility of the Louisiana State University System, is a dynamic and world class research center whose mission is to improve health through research in nutrition and in disease prevention. The coordinator position is a full-time unclassified position in the Office of Executive Director of Pennington Biomedical. The essential functions of the position includes but is not limited to technical and editorial support for the Executive Director and the Louisiana Clinical and Translational Science Center (LA CaTS) in relations to professional publications, manuscripts, presentations, and website development. This position will be responsible for assisting with and maintaining currency of website content that supports clinical research and communication. This position will also be responsible for daily office activities as answering phones, filing, making copies, taking minutes at meetings, making booklets, arranging meetings as necessary, submitting reimbursement for travel and other costs associated with meetings, and tracking publications for faculty.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in web-based development, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, graphics, fillable form development, and knowledge of End Note. The candidate would need to be detail oriented and willing to learn and be a team player. The candidate would also need to ability to work well with a variety of people and be service oriented. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree, experience with Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, and Word. Excellent written and verbal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with web development, graphics, End Note, publication records, scientific citations.
