| Description: The Pennington Biomedical Research Center, a research facility of Louisiana State University System, is seeking a candidate for the following position in the Taste Genetics laboratory: a highly motivated, qualified professional to work in an NIH-funded laboratory investigating the genetic mechanisms controlling nutrient selection, energy intake, and taste sensitivity. |
| Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in the basic sciences, general laboratory skills, excellent communication skills, and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required. After on-site training, the successful candidate will be expected to assume responsibility for 1) management of resource mouse colony, 2) PCR Genotyping, RNA Real-time Quantitative PCR, and 3) behavioral and metabolic phenotyping. All areas require accuracy and strong data management skills. Applications will be accepted until a suitable candidate is found. |
