Study Purpose

The purpose of this research study is to determine how changes in your diet may improve your triglyceride level and overall health.

About the Study

Have you been told your triglyceride level is high?
We have all heard how what you eat plays a large role in your overall health. This study is looking specifically at how the food you eat affects your triglyceride levels.

Study Design

Number of visits:

  • 1 Screening visit
  • 10 Clinic visits

Study procedures:

  • Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT)
  • Armband accelerometer
  • Remote food photography
  • Questionnaires

As a participant, you will eat two food products per day from Pennington Biomedical Research Center in addition to your regular diet. You will be asked to come to Pennington Biomedical every two weeks to pick up your new food choices and check in on your progress. During the feeding period, you will be asked to take pictures of your meals before and after eating to submit to Pennington Biomedical, and to wear an armband accelerometer to keep track of your activity.

All study-related procedures and food will be provided at no cost to the participant.
