This is the sixth annual childhood obesity and public health conference to be held at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center. The prevalence of clinical obesity has increased substantially in recent years, and has outpaced the observed increases in lower levels of overweight and obesity. The topic of this conference is on clinical management of clinical pediatric obesity, and how clinical treatment strategies might be translated to the public health setting.
The participants in this conference will be able to:
- integrate the latest published and unpublished findings on the clinical treatment and management of pediatric obesity
- understand how the clinical treatment and management of pediatric obesity can be integrated into public health approaches
