Award AnnouncementThe HERITAGE Family Study research consortium was awarded the 1999 Sport Science Award of the International Olympic Committee President in Biomedical Sciences. This award is presented in recognition of scientific work in the field of sport and physical education and of outstanding sport science accomplishments. The awardees are Drs. Art Leon of the University of Minnesota, D.C. Rao of the Washington University School of Medicine, James Skinner of Indiana University, Jack Wilmore of Texas A&M University, Jacques Gagnon of the Laval University Medical Center, and Tuomo Rankinen and Claude Bouchard of the Pennington Biomedical Research Center. |
